Our Process for Window Treatments
Inception
Yung Atelier partnered with Kara Mann Design to provide & handle all aspects of window treatments & motorization for a new residential build in Winnetka, IL. We provided drapery panels, drapery hardware, roman shades and motorized Lutron roller shades, altogether offering a solution that would add privacy and elegance to a bright Winnetka residence.
Measurement
Upon review of floor plans and inspiration imagery, we determined the purpose and needs of each room and outlined project objectives. Our installation team visited the residence to carefully collect measurements and anticipate the nuanced design challenges that could arise.
Advisement & Production
We provided end-to-end specification: from lining and shade material options, motorization hardware, programming & controls, to exact placement of electrical whips & power supplies. Our team also provided samples of drapery hems and pleats as well as drapery hardware finishes for approval.
Installation
Window treatments were inspected prior to installation and Yung Atelier’s imaginative and technical expertise expressed onsite – the drape of soft window treatments were refined through careful dressing, steaming and pleating. Our team performed the final installation and programming, ensuring all window treatments operated seamlessly and enhanced the overall beauty of the space.
